How wonderful to have our beautiful church filled every week with our winter guests. Thank you to all for making Havasu your winter home; sharing your love of our Savior, and participating in service to our Lord.
After many months and numerous votes, your Council feels there have been enough discussions about the Acoma House for the foreseeable future. The three houses we have at Mount Olive are fulfilling our mission work; whether it’s serving our youth, our woodworking shop, caring for the elderly that need special care during the day, or our Stephen Ministry Program and other committees availing the use of these spaces. If at any time a member of Mount Olive finds themselves in need of housing, the Council will then address the issue again.
Counting down to “Build the Vision”, we are looking at Feb. 18 & 19 for our Ground Breaking Ceremony. The Building Committee presented their recommendation for our General Contractor; he’s Steve Interlicchia of InterTech Construction. We were very impressed with Steve during the interviewing process; the Committee was unanimous in approving him and presenting him to the Council. The Council also unanimously approved Steve Interlicchia.
The Council approved a request for a Memorial for Karen Soderberg to honor her years of service with the Music Department at Mount Olive, and for her work to acquire the new baby grand piano that now blesses our services. We miss you, Karen.
“Teach us to love and honor others as You honored us with Your sacrifice on the cross.”
Yours in Christ, Mike Flesher
