The Children's Hour (formerly known as Sunday School) has a brand new program from Augsburg Press called "SPARK". The format is a rotation , i.e., same lesson taught in different learning styles. Each lesson theme lasts from 4-6 weeks, and uses cooking, science, art, creative drama, games, music and vido to reinforce the theme throughout the lesson.

The first theme was "Creation". each lesson taught about a different aspect of Creation and then used a medium that demonstrated it in a very real way to the children.

Next we will use the theme of "The First Sin", and then "Joseph and His Brothers" and the of course, "Jesus is Born".

Instead of regular Sunday School teachers, SPARK encourage the sign-up of differnt leaders - called "Shepherd" each week. Guides help out and Supply people readyany materials needed for the lesson.

It is good for both congreagation and children to have vaeried talents used to reinforce the lessons. So far it has been very successful.
